Omotenashi (おもてなし) – Reception And Service

Japan’s appeal lies in big parts in good people, the excellent service, the habit of paying attention to smallest details, the obligatory smile when greeting for example customers, and politeness, as well as in the attitude of thinking “how could I improve”.

Japan’s omotenashi means knowing the customer’s thoughts and wishes before they are told and bring excellent service according to these. In the extreme this means as much as treating the customer like a lord or princess in order to make them welcome and satisfied.
